Nervana Notes
This is painted on Yupo with watercolor and then detailed with professional quality markers. It is then adhered to a cradled birch and sealed with clear encaustic. Yupo is a manufactured paper that is very slick and nonabsorbent. A cradled birch is a birch panel with sides so that can be hung without framing. It is wired to be hung as is. Encaustic is made from bee's wax mixed with sap from the damar tree and applied molten. Once it cools it is hard and pretty indestructible.
